food mood (フード ムード)

I was a little hesitant on ordering the new seasonal chestnut latte since the picture made it seem like it'd be a thick beverage, something I wasn't in the mood to have, but that certainly wasn't the end product. My first sip instantly blew me away. I honestly love this latte so much, its such a shame that it's only here for a limited time. The first couple of sips are reminiscent of rum surprisingly but have no worries, there's no alcohol found in this drink, I think. The gentle maroon and light tea intertwine so nicely, like a mother's warming embrace enveloping you on a refreshingly cool autumn day.

You won't understand until you try this, hut the caramel apple chiffon cake is to die for. They perfectly caramelized the apples. I'm not talking about that gross, fake, stuck in your teeth caramel apples you buy from carnivals in America, I'm referring to the carefully watched pot of sugar and water until it's boiled down into the perfect ratio of bitterness and sweetness. Like the caramel used to top off an excellent cup of fine Japanese pudding.

I loved the choice of instrumental, meditation-like music they chose to soothe your soul as you indulged in your scrumptious afternoon snack & take in the environment around you.

The shopkeepers are very friendly and cutely dressed with their almost Amish like attires.

I wish this place wasn't so far out. It's honestly my new favorite. Like actually doe. Their attention to detail in making their desserts and beverages is phenomenal. Like everything tastes so delectable. I'm in tears (figuratively).

It's been a while since I've had such superb desserts. And on their website, they even list all of the places where they get their ingredients from. Like they really care about the flavor and overall affect~
