Quil Fait Bon Grand Maison Ginza (キルフェボン グランメゾン銀座店)

I usually try to steer clear of Ginza due to the prices, but lately, I've found myself over in that area quite a lot. Last month, I ended up at this lavish pâtisserie and had the opportunity to try white strawberries. White? Strawberries?? I've known that this rare creature of a fruit existed, especially in Japan, and I've taken a glimpse at them on a few occasions when they were on display during the sping's strawberry season, but this was the first time that I actually nibbled on one of those tiny berries.

First, let me tell you, it was heavenly. Just when I thought that the pretty pennied, scarlet glistened strawberries in Japan were the best I had ever had in my entire twenty-plus years of life, I was mistakened. These are the real bread-winners. These white strawberries were the sweetest, juiciest, freshest berries I'd ever had and it melded together ever so perfectly on Quil Fait Bon's tartlet. 

If you're in Japan when it's white strawberry season, by all means, try these fantastic little suckers. They're so delectable. And of course, visit Quil Fait Bon and try their white strawberry tart which brings out the full flavor of the fruit.
