Dream Coffee (ドリームコーヒー)

I've been quite curious about this local coffee shop for a while. Every now and then I'd pass by it while on a stroll or it'd periodically appear on my phone's Google Maps as a compatible match (because Google is sketch and tracks your habits--but this feature is also fairly useful). So I finally decided to stop inside this traditional-styled kissaten since I had time to kill.

Dream Coffee is very popular with people in the area, and I can see why--the prices are cheap. The coffee here hovers in the 200 price range, with the max being only a mere 320 for a cafe au lait. Most of the coffee shops I frequent start their basic, house or American coffees at 400, going as far up to 1000 for a simple cup of joe, so the prices here are definitely a dream.

However, with cheaper prices, also comes cheaper quality; maybe. I actually didn't really try the coffee here since I wasn't in the mood, but I did have a quick sip of my friend's coffee (I can't remember which one they ordered), but all I can say is it was strong and bitter. My friend isn't much of a coffee drinker, so they were unsure how to liven up their cup and enhance the flavoring of it with some nice ol' creamer and sugar. Thus, I'll have to return to this coffee shop again to see how good, or bad, their coffee truly is.

Dream Coffee has a broad array of coffees on display from different regions of the world, so I'd assume that they're brews should be good. But, the canisters containing the beans seemed quite old, just like the rest of the place, so I'm not too sure how well the aromas and flavors are kept.

Their egg toast is a popular item, but I opted for the cinnamon toast. I also had an iced cocoa, but it wasn't anything special; just straight from the box. Even after ordering four items from here, our grand total still managed to be under 1000, so again, this place truly has a dreamy price.
