Coffee Collection 2018
My friend, @tcc10000, messaged me, saying that she was interested in attending a coffee festival in Kanda, so I agreed to tag along. The second annual Coffee Collection that was held last weekend, November 3rd and 4th, around Kanda Nishiki-Cho, and had five different Japanese coffee shops each day (so ten different cafes total).
We went on Sunday to the event, and I had an absolutely grand time. Even though I'm a complete noob to coffee (I apologize to my coffee fanatic followers who have an extuberant coffee knowledge, whereas I know nothing in stark comparison, I'm slowly but surely getting to your level, eventually) this was one baby-step for me in my learnings, and I'm thoroughly thankful for it.
Here's my mini Insta review from Sunday's happenings:
My first Coffee Tasting experience~ I'm definitely gonna go to the next one! @CoffeeCollectionOfficial
.
Thanks @tcc10000 for inviting me to this coffee festival!~💕 (Also, we captured the same photo 😂)
.
My favorite of the day was @kurasu.kyoto's Rwanda Camajumba brew. Second place would be @glitch_coffee's Ethiopia Alaka Washied roast. Both were very light and refreshing. The Ethiopian one even reminded me of tea with its Jasmine flavor! .
.
It was a very good learning experience for me because I had no idea how different coffees could taste! The aromas, flavors, and colors were all so different, and they became even more distinguishable the more I drank.
.
After the coffee festival, we stumbled across a small coffee shop which had unroasted beans on display, and just looking at them I could see the differences in color, size, and even fragrance of the coffee beans. I'll post pictures of that cute little shop later~

I was pleasantly surprised to see a DJ and other crafty stands there. I'm a big fan of stationeries and other artsy things, so I could fully enjoy my time there!
